going through all the last hook ups and installs ready to fire this engine up again in car
doing each system one by one to check for leaks fix move on to next
filled power steering pump with fluid, car not running yet , but turned wheels lock to lock hoping to work the fluid to steering box, wheels up in the air because i was fitting fast ratios arms pitman and idler
steering box leaked like a sieve, fluid all over , appeared to be coming from main shaft , crown nut , i looked up the FSM to see what seals in there, oring
wiped everything clean , filled it up again ready to watch where it exactely leaked from,
could not get it to leak ,
steering box completely rebuilt early on, my question is because i coudnt get it to leak again , have seals now they are soaked  in fluid ,? some how swell up , ?
shouldnt there have been some in from shop that rebuilt it
Its going to be a gusher when i fire this thing up ? right fella's

It is possible that it had not seated well until you moved it around a bit.  Shouldn't have but stranger things have happened.  If it doesn't leak now I say fire it up and take it from there.  You can always leave the pump belt off to test the engine if needed.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Thanks Dino ,
Good to get a positive reply, trying to be optimistic
If I had known how , would have started this to vote on top
Gusher vote yes , sealed vote no
Just want to get to the point of this car being on the road , it's been one step forward two back all the way with this one, very close now ,
A lot of variables with this one , big block stroker , highly modified auto, a lot of things I haven't tried before,
Just dying to see if it all comes together ,
Next step will be copying redmist's thread on injection ,
Will do a detailed thread on this mistakes and all , so follow that one
