I have a question for those of you who have a Mopar library in the back of your minds.....I have an intake manifold, casting number 2205968.  It came off of my 383, but I'm certain it isn't the original one because my fender tag indicates my car was originally a 2 bbl car.  It IS in fact a factory piece, I just want to know what year.    Here is a photo of it.     And......yes.....the plenum was modified as an experiment we did a few years back and worked extremely well actually....to answer the question as to why it doesn't have four holes....

The book shows several applications for that cast number.

2205968   1962   B   361  1-4

2205968   1962   B   383  1-4

2205968   1963   B   383  1-4

2205968   1964   B   383  1-4

2205968   1965   BC   383  1-4

2205968   1966   BC   383  1-4

2205968   1967   ABC   383  1-4

EDIT.....I MADE A MISTAKE 22005968

well....you are showing me   THREE  2's  at the beginning of the casting number....this intake only has TWO  2's.....and....what does   the B, BC,  and ABC   mean?....because that isn't anywhere on the intake itself

EDIT.....I MADE A MISTAKE IT IS CORRECTED TO  22005968

A is A-body cars
B is B-body cars
C is C-body cars

so....anywhere from '62  to '67.....Is that as close as I can get???   I.D.  wise that is??

This is the only other way to get the date code, is have it on the intake itself.

well...the only thing on this intake resembling that cast-in plate  (looks like two screws holding it on)  is the numbers  4X11 .   Other than that and a number 4  cast below the main casting number....that's all there is.
