Hi all, my 69 title says 3256 Lbs and that was with the stock 383 / 4 speed combo. I think I weighed it years back running with 160lb me inside at 3700 or so with a 440 / 4 speed in it. Next spring it will have a 512 stroker with aluminum heads, glass hood and 727 auto. Any guesses on weight?

RallyeMike

My guess is that you are at 175lb now.

Ok seriously ,
512 on a diet , read ditching steel intake heads , water pump , pump housing, lighter rods pistons rotating assembly then factory assembly,
A couple hundred pounds over front end , big difference in alloys to steel heads

Kern Dog

You mean IRON, right? There are no such thing as steel heads.

With the aluminum heads and 'Glass hood you should be approx 100lbs lighter. All that weight off the nose of the car which is a bonus  :2thumbs:
