Can this be done just curious as the day approaches, and after reading the other recent engine install post I was curious if anyone has done this? since the engine is on a hoist it seems like it would be relatively easy to doas long as the header is loose and care is taken.

When I installed my 440 I used straps to hang the driver side header to the inner fender, then slowly lowered the engine into the engine compartment. I also covered the header with a blanket so it wouldn't scratch, but it still got a couple of scratches. The more hands you have to help, the easier it is.

The easiest way is still to mount the headers from underneath with the car up on a lift.

I figured it was the only problem I have is that I dont have a lift, and currently I am using one of the smaller 1 3/4 ton jacks so it has a limited height.
