I dig that picture !!! i see things I can use for the detailing my 426 in the Daytona.

1. the position of the aluminum strap of the heater hose
2. the position of the wire harness bracket attached to the firewall backing plate
3. the position of the coil and the radio noise suppression device
4. the little spark plug wire separator on passenger collection of wires
5. the utilization of 2 spark plug wire loops brackets instead of one !!!
&
6. the famous body plug on the firewall by the wiper motor...

I seen few of those firewall body plugs   http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,22093.msg239750/topicseen.html#msg239750

theres been a few threads on the mystery fire wall plug ,  it was thought to only been on a few really early build 69 cars , I did save pictures of chargers with them & record the vins , SPDs, think I might have lost all that info when computer blew up , not sure if I copied on to disc  :scratchchin: , it looks like it was random , regardless of vin sequence on early build cars
Feel free to post any relevant picture you think we all might like to see in the threads below!

The C500 that I'm working on does not have the mystery plug and it has a build date of Nov. 20, 1968

yes will have a look  , not sure if a good idea to post here & hijack this thread if I find anything. may be it would be a good idea to include the info etc of this mystery fire wall plug in the Registry  :scratchchin:    , sure the highest vin sequential was 12****  ,
its certainly odd , would make sence of a early production error or ....  but the plug is not on all Hamtramck built 69s with vin sequences 10**** to 12**** , its cropped up on St Louis built cars too  :shruggy:

I have done some research into these plugs and still no one can tell what they are for.  They seem to be most common on early Chargers but I have seen them on all bodies/plants.  After the end of August production you don't see them.  I do know the size of the hole and grommet are the same as the vacuum lines hole for the headlights on a 69 Charger.  My buddy had a late August production 69 Coronet 500 convertible with a G-Code 383-2 that had the plug.
