Hey guys,

Here's a quick value question for you guys, I don't need anything accurate just a ball park because I haven't seen too many lately. How much would a 2nd gen rolling body charger go for, with complete interior, condition not really a big deal, with little to no rust and definetly no frame rot. Any guess helps. Thanks.

I sold one a year ago with spare parts and power window option for 2k a year ago.  I would say 2k - 4k now  I wish I had kept that car I have since picked up a 383/727 and no were to put her.  Maybe slightly less if an original 318 car a lot more if originaly a hemi car.

No rust and no rot but the condition isn't a big deal? Finding anything that is even remotely rust free will be problematic. I paid $4000 over a year ago for a 68 Charger like you described - no windshield, engine, or front seats but *mostly* rust free and complete. I thought it was a great deal at the time and the same car would probably sell for a lot more now. You might be able to do better than that but don't get your hopes up too high. Two years ago I paid $2,500 for another 68 before I figured out that I needed $1,100 in sheetmetal and $5,000 in labor to patch it all in. Last summer I paid $1,000 for a rusted out hulk of a parts car but it still had the drivetrain (and the seats and windshield for the other car). I don't think any of them were really "bad" deals but you may do better or worse. As always, anything that was originally an R/T or otherwise desirable will cost more.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Thanks for the help guys, I should have been more clear Troy, by condition no big deal, I was speaking about the interior.

Ok, you had me confused because right after that you were talking about rust. :scratchchin:

i got my 72 3 months ago and paid $1025 on ebay. the interior was prety trashed , but had a bunch of cool options (slap stick , 150speedo , clock, ect) the front seats were hashed, an the dash pad isnt great. it ran (barely) with a 78 360 thats about to die. timing was way off an carb was junk. it did drive on the trailer..basicly it was a car that neaded 1000 just to be driveable. but the good news was the floors were prety good , except under driver and pass feet (patched poorly) and bouth quarters are rough but saveable for a good body man.   for the most part everyone agreed that it was a verry good deal. but they are still out there on the 3rd gen cars..i took a gamble on mine and did good, as the auction wasnt well written and the pictures were poor. in some ways i got lucky in the fact that the seller was a young guy who knew very litle about the car other than it was cooler than a ricer.. I had expected a much worse car, with junk exhaust , junk 4 wheel drum brakes,no sway bar, and an 8.25 rear. i got lucky and have the 8.75 rear, disks that work, and a good exhaust with newer mufflers. expect to spend more than i did..but look around you may get as lucky.
