Hello.

My charger alternator wont charge.   I think it may be this http://www.ebay.com/itm/March-Performance-P595-1-Wire-Alternator-/400745777785?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d4e4f4a79&vxp=mtr

Do you have any idea what alternator i should buy?  Can i pull this pulley off and use that again?
I think that i dont want to by this brand any more because this looks almost new.

There you can see the problem if im right.

you can get a new rotor and rebuilt your actual alternator. Not hard to find or do.

yes you can reuse the pulley. Is not a critical piece that will came of for that. I have done it dozens of times

do you mean that i can buy new rotor for this alternator? i dont have stock one.

Can you please link me correct part for this, or if you can link me replacement alternator?  Im so new with these. :shruggy:

I wonder that if someone did turn mainpowerswich off while the car was running, does that ruin alternator?

rotor could get shorted just because stress on windings, thats all. Is hard to find a perfect copper wire able to hold perfectly and lineally some loads. Maybe some contamination or particle into the copper wire could make a weak spot there.

As far I know rotors uses to be the same in lot of alternators. The main diff is on stator. I have replaced/interchanged rotors from maybe half of dozen of my alts with several diff outputs rates, and could not find any big difference or change on output, That's why I think the bigger diff is on stator.

Locally ( Venezuela ) I can find a rewinding shops to rebuilt rotors too, not cheap though, but so far so good I have being able to find replacement rotors yet.

ebay search:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313&_nkw=Mopar+alternator+rotor&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Alternator parts source:
http://store.alternatorparts.com/chrysler-alternator-parts.aspx
not rotors listed but maybe contact them will give you a good source for a replacement rotor

You can get a new unit also from any regular auto parts shop and install your actual pulley, maybe with similar price than the rotor itself, but not chromed. Chromed pieces will be way expensive ( if you care about chromed finish ).

Don't take my words as a definitelly answer... is just my opinion and what I would do!

from the ebay link ( jegs ) you posted... my opinion
1 wire Mopar alt? mmm, I would think really is a mounted on regulator on alt. There is not REAL 1 wire Mopar alts. I have known some named "1 wire mopar alts" are simply with this piece or similar attached:

is a replacement regulator from the totally divorced regulator mounted on firewall

Thanks  :2thumbs:

That chrome is actually very bad, it will flake off :shruggy:

And i have transpo regulator like that behind the alternator.

Problem solved    I bought reman alternator from here Finland.  And i pull the v-groove pulley off and i knock my serpentine pulley in place.

First i try to re use my old alt regulator which is mounted back off alt. But it was dead.  Then i ordered old style electric regulator which is mounted to firewall.

And now i have 14,5V at idle  :2thumbs:   Thank you all who helped me!
