steering gear problems

I've mostly got my steering gear ready to be pulled out, but i'm trying to figure out which seal it is i need.  It leaks right from the top, under that adjustment nut. -- everything else is fine, so i'd rather replace the 3 dollar seal than buy the whole kit....but i can't figure out what that shaft is called.
