This may sound like nit-picker stuff to some but...  I am trying to finish up my 71 Bee resto and while the car was amazingly complete, one thing it was missing was the Super Bee fender emblems.  "No problem", I though, "I'lll just buy new ones."  WRONG!!!! No such thing exists.  They have Super Bee emblems in the resto- catalogues and they call them 1971 "FenderEmblems."  The only problem is they aren't.  They are 1970 SuperBee hood emblems and they mount with three studs which require holes.  There is no way I'm drilling holes in mint '71 fenders, so....  does anyone have a source for real 71 Super Bee fender emblems?  The 71 emblems are adhesive backed.  I'll take used ones and get them re-chromed if anyone has a pair or if anyone knows of a vendor who has the correct ones, please let me know.
Thanks.

Are the resto emblems correct size and shape compared to the originals? If so you could grind off the studs and use automotive 2 sided tape to mount them. :scratchchin:

This hobby is more than just our cars, it's the people you get to meet along the way!!!

Chris,
I can't recall if they are the same thing as a '70 hood Superbee font and style, but if they are, then you'll have to go this route unless you search for NOS version..... Have you spoken to Johnny?, aka Superbee Guru !!

Troy,
Thanks for the tip on Johnny.  I'll email him.  I will probably have to end up grinding the mounting studs off the current repops, but of all the oddball cars I've had, to get stuck on something that seems so mundane is stupid...

In the Mopar Performance catalog they list the two I believe you are referring to.
P2998065 Super Bee Emblem, 1970 Super Bee, Hood
P2998749 Super Bee Emblem, 1970 Super Bee, Power Bulge Hood
Available from Chrysler, and most likely cheaper than the other places like Year One. No shipping from the dealer!!
Mega lists a "decal" for fender but I don't think that is correct.

My 73 emblems all stick on. I reused all but one and used the Scotch Emblem tape. Works great but be sure you get it right THE FIRST TIME because they don't come off.
The only thing I can suggest as far as the tape, is thickness.  I bought the kind of thick one, wish it had been somewhat thinner.
