My reusable air filter (sponge material) has deteriorated and started to break apart from the heat.  Is there a low profile alternative anyone recommends?

Id throw that in the trash. I take it your talking about the triangular wire mesh housing with what looks like some thin foam wrapped inside it? I have seen a few cars dang near cetch fire due to a backfire and then that foam ignites and then you have melted foam down the carb... I would do some looking around for a different setup.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

If it is a hood clearance issue...like i have running a performer RPM.
I used drop base 14 " edelbrock set-up, with a 2" reusable filter I found on ebay.  The 3" element that came with it would not fit.

Oh, I also had to run the banjo fitting for the fuel line.

That's exactly what was on the car when I bought it.  I'm open to recommendations as to what others have had good luck with.

Sorry.  I may have caused confusion.  I have the Pro Flow 1002 installed right now - that's what came on the car.  I was responding to Indygenerallee's comments.

Ahh gotchya.
I know there are some threads on here about using some Ford drop base, but I could never figure out what the part number was.
