When I went to register for Carlisle, dodgecharger.com was not on the drop down list to pick your club. Since I was not able to choose dc.com, I called to register and asked the lady about it. She was not sure why dc.com was not on the drop down list. She suggested I speak to Ed B. She put me through to his extension which went into voice mail. I left an voice mail explaining about not being able to choose dc.com.
Ed B. returned my call at the end of last week. I missed his call so he left me a voice mail. He spoke to his IT guy and he wasn't sure what happened. He did say we have not been on the drop down list for a while. The IT guy fixed the problem and added us back on for next year.
He also said he was comping us a tent since we were not on the drop down menu. So that is great news!

I went to the Dodgecharger tent last year and found it scarcely attended at times.

Troy

The tent is in IJ63 this year.

For some reason, nobody really hangs out in our tent - unless it's raining or blazing hot. Last year the tent wasn't next to, in, or really near any Charger classes and people tend to stay near their cars. That's the first time that we haven't been at least next to the 69 Chargers. I'm there several times during the day and almost always run into other people. Maybe not a lot but usually somebody. I left my chairs there all weekend. Most people clear out by around 4:00 PM.

Troy, I'm sure the tent will be filled this year because of the polka band you hired to perform.

That was supposed to be a surprise!

If no one comes to the tent this year I'm parking my car in it.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

No one at the tent a lot huh?   We need an organized event meet.  Something like a large cookout perhaps.  Everyone bring a dish, meet at 4:30 or so to start cooking, someone bring a grill, etc.  Where Carlisle puts the tent can affect the success of this - you need parking around the tent for the big stuff.  The only downside to this is hauling multiple 5 gal buckets of water for wash/rinse/etc.

If the club has over 25 cars registered under the club name we should get a tent anyway?  That is what I heard for the other internet based club I belong to.
Mopar forever!

Troy

Yes, 25 cars gets you a free tent. HOWEVER, we have members who belong to multiple clubs and have to choose only one. Then there's the fact that our name keeps falling off the list (it seems) so people don't choose us as their club. But the big one is that cars in the special displays or vendor tents in the swap area DON'T count towards our 25. We seem to be blessed with a bunch of awesome cars so every year we have 10-15 that cannot count towards our total. The closest we've gotten was several years ago when we had around 40 cars but only 22 counted.

We typically do a group photo on Saturday. It's not super organized. One year we did a cookout that went well. In years past we got a group rate at one of the hotels so we mainly hung out together in the evenings. We need an organizer (not me!) for group activities if anyone wants to volunteer.

I spent about 13 hours in the tent between Friday and Saturday. We had a revolving door of people stopping by most of the day Friday. If you didn't see me you were either early (I don't do mornings - especially on vacation!) or have horrible timing! I made sure I was there Saturday from about noon to about 1:30 in case anyone showed up for pictures and only saw a few. Then I was within 50' until about 4:00. If I get a tent in the future I'm setting up a trail cam to see if people really are stopping or just making up stories. :P

Every year I get to meet new people - which is one of the great things about the Carlisle show. I had to read your whole thread again. It's a really cool car!
