My father in law, and a friend and I went to the NHRA drag races in Colorado this weekend, and I had the honor of meeting Mr. Tom Hoover himself! Shook his hand, got a few autographs (from him, the whole crew of Mopar NHRA racers, and Richard Rawlings, and Dennis from fast 'n loud. Also watched those last two race the hellcat vs Dennis' Hemi Challenger). Was a great time, and cool to meet the man himself. Was a pretty nice weekend I'd say myself! :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

You have a right to be excited and proud! Sounds like a wonderful weekend for you.  Congrats !!

Its so refreshing to see how cool these old guys really are...and its not just the Mopar guys.  For example, Jim Wanger's is supposed to be one helluva nice guy and spends time talking to people with genuine interest.  :2thumbs:

He was a cool guy. Spent some time talking about where the idea came from, how he came up with it....some about testing. It was a great time. People don't live forever ya know....

:2thumbs:  A great opportunity. Wow the 426 is 50 years old now. Glad to hear Tom is still up and running like the engines.

Are you ever going to wash that hand again.

DadsCharger00

Sad to say....I've already washed the hand  :rotz: And to be perfectly honest, in the momment I took zero pics. BUT I can post pics of the autograph on my hat, and on the HEMI poster. I know...stupid me!  :slap:
