Me and the '70 back in the day. (1980-1990)

Here's some pics of me and my '70 starting around 1980. Pic 1: I bought it for about $400 and dragged it home before dad finished building our shop. Notice my '74 AMC Hornet driver? It had a 304 w/a Hurst 3spd., it was a fun car. I didn't take too many pictures of the "restoration" process on the '70 so there's a good four- or five-year span where I didn't take any pictures of it. In fact I probably only took maybe 15 pictures of it over the 11 year time span I owned it. Pics 2 and 3: I drove the '70 in the local parade.

That's very cool. Love the scenery...  I need to get some of my old ones out.. But, noone may recognize me, I had hair  :o

More. The first two pics are from 1985 or '86. The first one was taken in SE Portland at my brother's house and the second one was in Eastern Oregon where I grew up. Like the dent? I know I did. :rotz: The last two were taken in the late '80s, probably '89 when I took a girl to her HS prom. Like the color-coordinated tux? Stylin' I hate tuxes. Notice the red grill accents in the 2nd and 3rd pic? I saw those on another Charger a few years prior and I liked it. I also managed to snag some wheel opening mouldings along the way for my poor old base Charger. BTW it was a 383/2bbl/727.

Iceyone

That's cool. I had a red and white 70 SE too during that time frame.

I think I sold it in '92 for around $1,700. I didn't keep track of all this but that's close to what it went for. And yes, I wish I still had it. :icon_smile_blackeye:

Cool car Bull. :yesnod: Can I use a couple of those prom pics for the gallery?  ;D

Cool pics Bull, except for the dented fender. :D

At least the photos you have are of a running car. I can't believe, that of all the dopey things I took photos of, all I have of my first Charger in the early eighties, is of the roof line behind another car I was trying to sell. I bought mine in 1981 for $1600 & sold it 3 years later for $600 as a barely running parts car with a 100% mint, SE tan leather interior which I wish I still had.  ::)

I'll post them later, Bob

I think the 70 owners are a little off balance & kind of drift to one side. :D

Boy, you must be hurtin' for pics if you're putting my mug up on the picture page. :-X Oh, I get it, odds and ends. That must be the odd. I wish I would have kept the VIN for that '70. I doubt I'll ever see it again. :-\

Great looking pics, Bull! Yep, even the dorky ones. ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
