69 Charger trunk seal

Can anyone tell me which seal I need? Or what the difference is?
I called up Metro and the sales guy said both would work but that he reccomended the cheaper one.

My guess is the D shaped one is for most of us and the other is for 500's and Daytona's.

I noticed the NON D shaped one fits many many cars (including the Charger), where as the other only fits the Charger

I didn't read closely enough either.  I took the D shape to mean the trunk opening but its the profile of the weatherstrip, meaning the D shaped one is the correct one.  Why would he recommend the cheaper one, did he say?

He did not say! Rather than just admit he did not know, he kinda rambled that they both would work, so why pay more?

One is a generic fit, the other looks to be the correct one.  He is right about one thing, they both will work but which you prefer is up to you.
