That just doesn't look right.

Still not right
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Something more better than just an aluminum box.  At least Chevrolet put a partial cover on their LSA engine similar to the Buick "Star Wars" air cleaner and Ford put on some traditional blue valve covers on their 5.8 engine.  Dodge could have at least embossed the Hellcat logo into the top of the supercharger, painted their engine covers a different color, or just add an accent color to them like they did with the Viper engine.

Sorry, but an engine has to impress me twice: once when I open the hood to show my buddies, and also when I push the throttle. :drive:  This Hellcat covers one area, but it's not an engine that I'd retrofit into my Charger or make an art piece out of in the living room AS IS.  No cool factor like a 426 Hemi or a 6 pack engine.

I'd still drive it though :D

I agree that what we see when the hood is up is as important as the lines of the car. (At least for motor heads).
The lasting impression I had from my pre driving days was a hemi engine. It looked like power and was different from the rest.
Also it was rare from the beginning and made for racing.--(the 426)--
I am very interested in the new "hellcat" for every aspect the car has except what we see with the hood up. It just might be a deal breaker for me.

I have already eaten the depreciation of my 09 SRT and would need to do it again to upgrade.---HHmmm $20k or so? :slap:
