So I was getting ready to take my car out to a show and when I was cleaning it I found the carpet under the passenger dash soaked, then I noticed that there was a drip under my heater box  :brickwall: Looks like I need to pull my core now! So how do they come out? also it isn't a A/C car..

Thanks
Scott

All you have to do is disconnect the hoses and wires from the heater box, then there are a few nuts, I think about 5, on the engine side of the firewall, remove those and your heater box will come right out. I don't know specifically know how to get the core out of the box though as I have never done it but I am sure it is pretty easy once you have the box out.

You have to remove the heater box. I found it easier to remove the passenger seat while working on the heater box. As mentioned there are several bolts on the engine bay aside of the firewall that hold the heater box on. Also need to remove control cables and any hoses. Once to box is out of the car the back of the heater box is held on by a series of screws. Remove them and the one or two screws holding the heater core and it will come right out.

Wow I think you lucked out.  In other cars don't the dashes usually have to come out for this sort of a job?
