Looks restorable. I would probably give 300 for it, restore it then sell for a profit. I would see if he'd take $250...that would be even better!

Wise man. Take your time with it. Disassemble it piece by piece taking pix at each step. It's really easy to restore
one of these grilles, the key is lots of pictures and patience during the tear down. Mark everything with blue painters tape as to L or R side.......what fasteners go where putting different ones in separate baggies. Notice and photograph how the grille mounts to the grille frame. This causes guys a lot of headaches.

The vac pods will work on either side but reinstall them as they were, label them.

My grille frame was in good shape and didn't require media blasting but this one looks
like its going to need it. Afterwards prime it with SEM primer and paint it "trim" black
or satin with SEM spray bombs. Mine turned out very well. I did have the top plate powder coated
semi-gloss black and am glad I did. Where the hood latch mechanism, rods, release lever and safety
latch are concerned, take several pictures of these things. The manner in which the release rod
connects to the latch mechanism and release handle itself. All easy but pictures will save your ass.

This is a rare opportunity to build yourself an excellent keeper or an investment piece.
You might consider buying a new M&H front lighting harness. I actually bought mine through
Classic Industries MOPAR catalog....$140. Still made by M&H and comes complete with the vac hoses
in one very nice "plug it in ready" assembly. All the fasteners can be bought from several vendors.
I bought a kit from R/T Specialties. New halogens bulbs are sweet and inexpensive. New grille
trim can be had from Gun Slinger. It's pricy but worth it in the long run if yours is toast.
Mine wasn't bad but it had dents, dings and needed polishing. I didn't know squat about how to
repair all this but found how-to vids on YouTube. It took some time and patience but mine turned out great.
Don't sweat repairing plastic parts either. I used a kit from PlastiFix that was perfect.
A $300+ investment in parts and the $250-300 purchase price can easily bring you $1500 or
more if you decide to sell it.

Have fun with it!

Picked it up. I'll try to post pics later. Looks relatively good....impressed that no fins are broken at all. Most of the mounting tabs are good....and the nose isn't bad either. Was going to sell it, but I'm thinking I'll pry keep it and see what I can do as far as restoring it. Wish me luck! :2thumbs:
