Hurst Super Shifter with stock linkage?

Has anyone used a Hurst Super Shifter with stock linkage and stock operating levers? (mounted in stock location with the aluminum plate)

The shift levers in the mechanism are slightly different, so I'm guessing there are modifications needed.
