Hey Guys,
Here is the deal, been driving for about 2 weeks without an issue. Went to start it this morning and not a thing, no sound at all. Battery was checked and is fully charged. Pulled the starter and bench tested it, works. All lights and gauges work. Car won't start so I can't take it to my mechanic. Any thoughts? Please speak to me like I am a child as I am not very knowledgeable on the topic..lol The car is a 1970 Dodge Charger. 440 engine.

Thanks

JB

did ya have it in park? Lots of issues with shift linkage..try it in neutral....or move the shifter

bad neutral safety switch? Bad starter relay on firewall? Bad ignition switch? Does anything else not work?

What wing said

Also check the fusible link that runs from the starter relay to the middle bulkhead connector and while you're at it check for loose wires on the connectors.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Was the shifter. Started in neutral and again in park.

Thanks

myk

I had the exact same problem, and performed the exact same solution.  I was happily driving down the road when I remembered that my neutral safety stuff isn't hooked up... :shruggy:
