Came back with damage report, limped home halfway. Now I need new 4 speed, rad, driveline, and probably rear end.  Engine seized up by the fan hitting rad but she tsarted right back up.

More likely the driveshaft failed  (holeshot?) taking out the tailshaft of the trans and the engine shot forward on it's rubber mounts into the radiator.

Did you get the rear up in the air to see if it spins freely and or quietly?     Did the yoke on the rear break?   If yes/yes  and yes,  rear yokes are available.   In fact you can get replacement driveshafts and yokes with bigger 1350 U-joints.     I'm assuming you're running 7290 U-joints but if in fact you've just got 7260 U-joints well then stepping up to a 7290 setup is probably easier since you can probably find a used driveshaft maybe.

If the rear seems toast... well it's a 8 3/4 so you pull the pig out and see whats up.

It only appears to me that the tailshaft on the 833 is broke...  which those are available used ( ebay, etc ).   Same deal...  see if it spins freely and quietly.   It's gotta out anyway.

If you were just running stock type rubber engine / trans mounts it's probably time while it's down to upgrade.

Good luck.

I 9pted out of autocrossing and did something that pushes the car.  After talking to paul g saying I wont get of 1st gear I did not like that.

myk

Well the auto-X was never about flexing the cars muscles, rather its agility.  But now I have to ask: what DID you do instead of the auto-X?

BTW I know your car is hurt and this puts you back a bit, but be happy in the fact that you took your car out and used the car in the way it was designed for.  Running it and breaking it will always be more honorable than just sitting around staring at it...

I didnt see you very much after we left LHM in Surprise. My car was trailered both ways. If I new you had problems we could have put you on the trailer instead. Sorry that happened Mike.
