Well, not new, taken over a year ago, but my brother  just got them to me.  he has a good excuse, though, he is in the army special forces and  deploys every 3-6 months to destinations unknown.

Worth the wait, best pics I have of the car.  I might send one into a "readers rides" of some of the mags.  should I?

same ones, but mine are "only" 16 inchers.  The pics make it look better than it is.  the paint is ok, but I paid a guy 2grand for it. that included stripping the car to bare metal and doing some minor body work, so I definately got my money's worth.  and it's a two stage basecoat clear coat so he worked pretty hard on it.  BUT....he did not block the car, so it looks a tad wavy.  Not much plastic, all original panels except for quarter patches behind the wheel wells and the rear valance.

The best thing the exterior has going for it is the wheels and the chrome.  everything was either bought new, polished, or rechromed.  really makes the paint look way better than it is. new door handles, new bumpers, rechromed vinyl top checkmarks, tailights, marker lights.....

I'm still jealous, even if your paint is as you say. In my current state of mind I'd have to say I'd much rather have a mediocre-looking Charger and be driving it than a perfect-looking car in pieces and yours looks much better than mediocre from what I can see. I want mine to be black so I'm paying a lot to have it done perfectly straight. I'm doing this once and never again.

Nice pics.  The car looks great.

Nice ride! Have you ever been in Massapequa, in Broadway south of the Southern State? Saw one just like yours about year and a half ago? I was going north on Broadway with my Charger on a trailer and heading south on Broadway was a black on red 68 Charger with a white stripe. He blew the horn and gave me a thumbs up! He was moving pretty fast I must say! Never saw him again.

thanks, guys for all of the compliments.  I get down about it sometimes because i see so many beautiful cars on this site!!!  I should be happy for what I have.  But I guess if I was satisfied, I would have no motivation to make it better.

currently, it's in a few pieces in the garage.  changing lots of things back to a stock "kind of" look.  using stock pieces, but not correct for my car.  orange engine to begin with, 70 or 71 dual snorkel air cleaner to replace my chrome K&N, Hp manifolds to replace my headers, new firm feel stage II box, rebuillt steering column.  I plan on ditching my KYB shocks too, very stiff ride.  I might go with some parts store gabriels or monroes.  I have heard that they ride nice.

staying with the wheels because i love them.  the engine bay needs some touchup, but here's a pic.  still work to do. also getting rid of the CAT ticking time bombs that are on my valve springs/pushrods.  putting my stock HD ones back in.  also changing from sheetmetal valve covers to stock looking ones painted orange.

So soon it's off to the exhaust man and the alignment man and I will be on my way....
