Saying "it was used during filming" is pushing it.  The car was bought & put together during the GA shoot but not used on-camera.  It was being finished as filming moved out west to Cali, but the GA shop foreman described it to the studio as just parts car and kept it.

That said, it's one of my favorite real GLs and the only nice surviving one from the Georgia shoot.

That car was never used in the series, Don built that car for his son, I have been to Volo car museum and it does indeed have original hand painted graphics. It probably is as close as a original WB built General Lee you will ever find since it was built in 1980 by a few of the guys that built the originals but it was never "on screen"
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

MOPAR OR NO CAR

1966 Dodge Charger 383 CI

Daytona R/T SE

No crossed flags on the panel in front of the trunklid ?  :shruggy:

Is that the "correct" CB antennae ?  :shruggy:

The graffiti should buff off, I would hope.  :scratchchin:

Nice car, but I'd have a lot more fun wit a nice replica for $20k than paying that price  :Twocents:

Same reason I've never been too interested in owning a real GL, as much as I love them.

Not a "REAL" General Lee as in, it was never used.. but, I would call it an "honorable mention" GL.  This is not a correct antenna either.  The cross flags behind the rear glass was only applied to the first three General Lees.  Very early into production, the crew realized that this little detail was just one more thing to do (in the building process) and really wasn't all that important.  So it was no longer used from there on out.

Isn't this the gold charger pictured with lee1, when lee1 was the 71 petty car? Circa 1978 photo

Volo  have worded the add so you think its a real Warner Brothers screen used GL  , i believe they only paid $40k for it in 2008/9   , it was built after everything was packed up and sent back to california , there where at least another 5 general lee's built by some of the Ga crew even into the early 80's , but again never screen used or owned by the W.B .

Wouldn't buy a shopping cart from Volo  , over priced and under restored is all they attempt to sell .
