I've never heard of one.   I was involved in an estate a couple years ago and in the stuff we sold was a "USA Edition" 1976 Chevy C10 4x4. It had red white and blue stripes and a faded American flag on the tailgate.  It had something like 30k miles on it but had sat outside in New York weather with the sticker on the windshield from something like 1983, cant remember for sure. I never did find anything on it and suspect it was some sort of dealer installed thing of the times.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

Old Moparz

I remember seeing one at a show once but that's all I can say. It's more interesting now than when I saw it because of nostalgia I guess. I was in 8th grade in 1976 & everything & anything was geared towards the bicentennial, & so much so that I couldn't stand red, white & blue for a while.

Here's a Hemmings page mentioning it.

Ford had a fleet of R-W-B cars also.  Pintos and Mustangs in '76.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

TUFCAT

I saw lots of these in the Detroit area when I was a kid...they also had Hang Ten interior.  The Detroit Zone must have been a dumping ground for these Darts.  Every dealer had them!

So did Buick if I recall correctly

Don't forget the 76 Vega in red white and blue also.

dyslexic teddybear

Local dealer had one. Plus a "Sprit of 76" D100.

Lotta "76" stuff in 76.

TUFCAT

Teddy bear is right! I forgot about the trucks. A friends Dad bought one dirt cheap (they didn't sell apparently).  It was a /6 and he beat the hell out of it in his construction business.  He had it well into the 80's. It was virtually indestructible.

Don't forget about the AMCs, they were constantly going for the patriotic paint.  :2thumbs:
