I have a 1970 Dodge Charger RT, 440 4spd. I need a radiator but I want it to be OE. Does anyone know if other b-bodies radiators will fit my charger? Also has anyone had the mounting brackets removed from one radiator and attached to another?
Thanks for any information.

Just 6T9 CHGR

As another option, (a bit pricey at that) Glen-Ray reproduces the original radiators

Welcome Otto.
The rad number (last 2 digits) are on the build sheet and the size is the last 2 on your fender tag (before "end"). But you most likely will need 2998956, 26 inch.
Yes, Glenray will cost you more but Bob over there knows his stuff. You will never have cooling issues again, and get the correct radiator for you car.
And if there are any issues the customer service is THE BEST which is something to say these days.

BTW, Otto and Bob, the only 2 mens names in the english language spelled frontward and backward the same.

LOL!!

Out of curiosity what do you think the value of the top and bottom radiator tanks plus the side brackets would be worth ?  I scrapped out several cores a while back of radiators ive had stored long time but saved the main pieces to attach to a new core.  Thought it would be lot cheaper to ship for someone wanting correct parts but on new core.  Also Anna is the same front and back

On my 69 RT when my original 26 inch radiator started to leak I took the 26 inch radiator out of my 72 New Yorker and it bolted in with just three of the bolts lining up and I couldn't use my factory fan shroud which was fine since it was a temporary solution until I got my original radiator recored, so you might try some C body radiators as another option.

Thank you for your reply. Funny thing because I have a 72' C body radiator and your right the holes don't line up and even though they it is a 3 row it seemed thicker than my old 3 row. I called Bob at Glen Ray and it sounds like a very nice product but twice the price of aftermarket radiators but might be the way to go. I ordered an OER radiator from Classic Industries and the top holes didn't line up and the fan shroud didn't fit right so I sent it back.
So it's maybe not a big deal to take the mounting straps from one radiator and have them attached to another? I wouldn't know where to start for a price on your original tanks. If you think of something please let me know.
