Has anyone covered their plastic lower door panels?

I was watching TV the other day and I saw them customize some lower door panels for a 70 Challenger by covering them with leathers upholstery using contact adhesive.  A pro did the work and it looked awesome.  A Chally door panel is much tougher than those on my 73 Charger and I am tempted to give it a shot.  :popcrn:

Has anyone tried this?

Yep, on my 68 Charger covered mine in vinyl.

It is tedious work, but we covered my door panels, console, rear package tray . . .
