low battery voltage and electronic ignition question

if your battery isnt up to par,would your car have a higher rpm missfire?my battery is kissed,and when i chareged the battery to move it yesterday, i felt the need to drive around the block,when i gave her hell in 2nd gear,ran fine up to about 3000rpms,then felt like a rev limiter,so i drove easy back to the dealership-does that sound like a voltage problem?or is something else fragged some where?

then ing system needs the voltage to work correctly- so a holf dead battery and no alt will cause problems!!!
