The only difference in the 66-67 covers is one is electric, very similar to the 70 setup; and the other is vaccum like the 68-69
Not sure if I am misreading your post but to be clear ALL 66 and 67 Chargers have rotating headlamps which are electric. 2 motors, one for each lamp which is why they don't seem to open together.
My conversation with Carl Cameron some years ago, he told me he designed it with one motor and Chrysler engineers changed it for fear of the motor, which had to be bigger to rotate both those big cast lights, would stop airflow thus causing overheating issues. So they used 2 smaller motors off to the side, one for each lamp.
You can see them fairly clearly in this shot of my car at the lake some years ago before I repainted them black.

I know 66 and 67 rotate. I was under the impression that the 66 was electric motor driven and the 67 was vaccum operated?

They're pretty heavy duty... you'd need one heck of a vacuum to roll those buckets.
They use 450:1 Gear Reduction Motors for a reason.

all 66 & 67 Chargers along with the 67 Mexican Coronet had rotating electric headlight motors standard. Two motors per car, one for each headlight bucket.

It would have been hard for a vacuum system to rotate these buckets 180* and have it work properly....in the 68-69's, the doors only had to operate 90*....then in 70 they went back to only one electric motor to open both doors

There are the pics I couldn't get to transfer over!
Question:  is center treatment, column w/ logo vs
indented model specific - as opposed to year?

Model specific, the indented one you mention is an RT.

Wing, you are right about the Mexican Coronet....good memory! Not to many people know, or have forgotten this fact. From my experience of photo's of Mexican made models, they really liked all the bells and whistles on their cars!  Somewhere I had photo's of early 80's Mexican Chrysler Corp products and they were decked out with many more sporty styling cues than their American counterparts.

Don't care what anyone says, these are great looking cars.

I've enjoyed mine.  Are those just ornaments on the top of the fenders ODZKing or turn indicators?

Not sure.  Seems like I have seen that fender tip before but I can place what car.
This is the 67 Coronet 500 from the parts book.  Not sure if it is it or not.  If it is, it says lamp.
everything else on that Mex car seems like 500 trim as well.

It looked familiar to me as well but same thing, can't place it.

For those who own or thinking about buying a first generation (66-67) Charger, here are two sources for you to keep in mind if you need repair work.  They are by no means the only ones out there, but they should get you started.   Remember, the main rule when buying a first generation Charger (and any car for that matter) is to get as complete a car as possible since many parts are unique to the 66-67 (read that as expensive).

*Gauge repairs on the electroluminescent (EL gauges), powerpack rebuilds, cluster harness repair, cluster restore

Chris @ headlightmotorman.webs.com
*Headlight motor rebuilds, sells new limit switches for the motors, wiper motor rebuilds (all years)

1970 Daytona Charger SE "clone" (440/Auto)
1967 Charger (360,6-pak/Auto)
2008 Challenger SRT8 BLK (6.1/Auto) 6050 of 6400

The picture below 100% proves that not all 66-67 Chargers have hidden headlights.

Something "Fishy" about that car......

It would be fishy if someone wanted to make a four door out of it.

68 style fender markers too.

uh, no, it's not...that's the engine badge call-out...there were no side marker lights on the 67 Coronets
