Found: Keys for 2nd gen. fuel lock

I think I remembered a few members looking for keys for their fuel locks? My old school hardware store has some and they are even stamped "FUEL". I just checked mine to my original lock and fit is perfect.
Let me know if you want one my cost is 2.14 each and what ever to mail.   

My locking fuel "cap" keys say GAS on them which I thought was correct for 69. 

Agreed, my 70 Charger, original locking gas cap....the keys (original) say GAS

Mine says GAS also I believe. 1969.

My NOS one still in the box says GAS on the keys too.  Now I have to wonder what that FUEL one is for?  Was there another application that used these keys in the aftermarket or was it just the key blank maker covering this one application in their own way?

The cap says fuel so the key should say fuel as well.  There, I said it.

Dino , I agree , I wish I had my 68 so I could walk out and take some photos, my key also had fuel on it

my nos key is silver/chrome finish and has gas on it.

My 69 that had the factory installed one said GAS on it.

As the last 2 are blank I can take a Sharpie and write GAS on them for ya!

so what would the cost of one key be sent to zip code 32223?  thats in north east florida.

Well others are saying just mail it stuck to cardboard but the Mail Room at work said no, it could bind in the USPS sorter with "anything hard" in it, so I have to go to the PO find exactly. PM your full address, I'm sorting this out next week.

PM's sent, PO agreed NEVER send "hard objects" in an envelope it tears up in the sorter machine as it bends the envelopes. She said it can actually damage the equipment, they would have red flagged me at the counter! 5.95 bubble pack priority mail tracks and insures the parcel. Please reply to my PM ASAP as others are waiting. 
There may be one more key available if you chime in soon, I'm not sure but the store is on my way home from work so it's not much hassle. (I don't know if he will get more or not, I should have asked the sales rep.)

Funny thing happened to me a couple days ago, the stock lock fell out of the filler tube by itself, will be easier getting the key cut with the lock being free.

The Layson key looks quite different.  It has a plastic shell on it, shaped differently.

Yep, got my pair a little while back - and they do fit the core.  Haven't had them cut to the original key pattern yet, but that'll happen one of these days.
