I removed my gauge panel out of my 69 charger and now my charger will not start. Do I need the gauge panel into make a full circuit?

I think you just connect the ammeter leads together.  Wait to see if someone warns against it.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Yes All your power runs threw the ammeter . You can simply connect the two ends with a nut and bolt . Make sure you insulate from everything else though

Yeah, what every buddy else said about the amp gauge. Just make sure the battery is disconnected before handling any of these things.
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

Do yourself a favor and keep that 'amp bypassed...
