8-3/4 Rear Axle Question

Are 66-67 rear axles for 8.75 rear different length than ones for 68-70 housings?

Yes. The 68-70 is the widest housing of the 62-70 B body cars, though every one of them use the same leaf spring pad spacing.
If I remember right, the 66-67 is 1 1/2" narrower than the 68-70. This makes the axle shafts 3/4" shorter. You can check the Mancini Racing site. They used to list axle lengths for the ones that they sell.

OK...sounds about right...reason for asking was I had a guy wanting to purchase 2 axles..he has a 68...he brought his over and they were longer than my 66 axles..I didn't know there was a difference

Difference between 68-70 and 66-67 is 5/8" and yes 66-67 is the shorter one.
