This got me thinking thanks to aother member on here asking a question. I didn't want to high jack his thread. But I alot of you or most of you know who Rockstar is and the kind of video games they make. They are the folks behind the Grand Theft Auto games like GTA4 (all 3 versions) and the lastest GTA5 one as well for ex. they also made the 1997 game Top Gear Reilly also that is N64. Anyways this company sure knows how to make a very good game for gamers to play and like and really enjoy.

For the Dukes of Hazzard fans out there. I was wondering, if Rockstar would make a Dukes of Hazzard, in your point, what do you think they should do to make the game fun and enjoyable? Please keep things clean.

I would say, have the car damage be realistic as much as possible, big jumps here and there, not only have the game set in Hazzard County but the neighboring county's as well. Have Rosco, Enos or Cletus always out looking for the boys. Free roam driving, have the Syxth River jump in the game (GTA4 Dukes Expressway is the river jump, but instead of water it's a highway) . The boys weapons TNT or Bows an Arrows  :2thumbs:. Have a mission where you can rebuild the General or build a clone of it to your likings. Have parts where you can trick Rosco or Enos or Cletus and use a vehicle to push them into the water or off the road and have them crash. Or help them out by pulling them out of something with a vehicle. They could also have night driving to, train jumps, pond jumps, races to earn respect or prize money to use on the vehicle.

I would open the game with a chase game.  The deal is you are Roscoe, Enos, or Sheriff Little.  You have to catch the General before you can have it.  After you catch it, then you go into the rest of the game where you can have the GL, Daisy's Jeep, RR, Jessi's truck, or build a customized ride to compete in races.

I would make a the object of the game to win a Championship in local races.  But, in between races, you'd have divert your attention to stopping Boss at some evil scheme.  I'd have it where you played Bo, Luke, Daisy, or Cooter and you'd have your bows and arrows and dynamite.  Each action sequence you have a chase that you'd have to win.  I wouldn't have real life damage except for engine breakdowns and flat tires.

The races would be road course races through various parts of the counties.  In some of the races, I'd have Roscoe set up a roadblock that would lead into a chase where you'd get arrested if caught.  When you win the championship, you've earned enough money to pay the mortgage on the farm.

                                           Care to play? :popcrn:

I don't think you could make the car damage as realistic as possible or after one jump Bo and Luke would be rooming at the crowbar hotel.

Cooter

I'd build like this just to piss off purists.
" I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours researching what works and what doesn't and I'm willing to share"

Are there purists in the game?

Strange to imagine someone getting wound up over a virtual creation.
