Hello,

Does anyone know if anyone restores the door jam strikers for a 68 Charger?  (The part that is screwed to the door jam)

Maybe I should be more specific.  Restore the finish in the door jam striker. The strikers are not available aftermarket. If you restored you 68-70 B Body, what did you do to make the strikers look nice? :shruggy:

I took many parts from my car to a local plating business. My strikers, screws and spacer plates were redone in electroless nickel. It's a lot tougher than zinc.

The strikers on the jambs are being reproduced, I vividly remember seeing them in person. I thought MegaParts had them, although I no longer see them advertised on their website. They had a machined finish vs cast as originals.

Here's a replated set of originals on eBay:

Bill, that seller also sells the door latches rebuilt time to time. Those strikers look good to me. :2thumbs:
