Ok...  I have two rust free 73 Charger Doors that I test mounted on my 72 Charger and they fit and close perfectly.  As we all know the body lines are not correct for the 73 doors on a 72 Charger so my question is...   Can I cut off the skin of the rust free 73 door above the body line and fabricate the correct 72 body line on a new piece of sheet metal as a door skin?  I have a set of 72 Charger doors however the amount of rust in them requires a new door skin, a new bottom rail & lip as well as some inner door repairs.

Has anyone tried this before?

Regular (Non Rallye/R/T) 71/72 Doors are fairly common.

I know I've got a few extras. (Not for sale)

Look around.

There is way more to fabricating a door skin (even a partial one) than meets the eye.

Remember, once you've successfully fabricated a part for one side of the car, you have to do the same

thing all over again for the other side, only backwards. :eek2:
