2007 Nitro power door locks

The unlock feature works great but the lock part of it works intermittently.  Where do I start?

Would that make a difference regardless of whether it is the switches or the remote?

No, only if it's the contacts.  If it's the remote then cleaning contacts at the lock won't do a thing, but it doesn't hurt either.  Disconnect the mechanism so the only thing that would happen when you press the remote is hear the relay click.  If it clicks in both up and down, the relay and remote are fine and the mechanism needs attention.  If the relay does not always click with the remote then hard wire it and see if it works now.  If it does, the remote has issues, if it does not the relay has the problem.

Not sure, could be by the lock or somewhere buried in the cabin.  Take a look at this, some guys are talking about the wireless module that relays the signal from the remote.  Apparently there's two as some guy near the end of page 2 found the solution.  Low voltage to the module.  Maybe it's a good place to start.

If the module or relay is common to other 2007s I might have an extra. I have some power window switches, relays and modules I got out of a 2007 Durango when I was looking for parts for mine......I only need to find the plastic bin I put them in. If you need one and I have it (and can find it) its yours.
