Okay, with lots of help here I have the engine bay wiring all buttoned down, with the exception of 1 wire that I cant figure out; it comes out about the middle of the drivers side fender (off the headlight harness I believe), and as I said it is a black wire which I assume is a ground; it has a 90 degree angled rubber boot on the end of it, the same as the engine temperature sensor wire has. Anyone got any ideas?

I have been wondering about that wire, now I know.

Dino

Be sure to stuff it full of dielectric grease before you push it on the distribution block.  It gets nasty down there.

Oh damn, guys, went looking for my extra wire to go to brake block, ? Why wouldn't I have that wire , or have I confused it with the one to temp sender, but that should be part of harness as well

fy469rtse

Just went and checked harness, void or empty plug on bulk head, bottom plug , traced it back through wiring diagram, leads to foot brake and brake warning lamp on dash, anyone else not have this in there new harness,
Marked on engine bay harness as p5-18bk, what happens if I don't add this ? Warning light on dash wont work, I realise it won't warn me if brake line pressure failure.
Experts chime in here,

If you don't have that wire then just add one.  It is indeed the bottom plug, bottom far left terminal.  Get an angled rubber boot for the terminal on the block, a Packard 56 for the bulkhead and an 18 awg wire (original is black).

Edit:  I just recalled...the wire may be 18 awg, but the insulation is quite thick.  I can get a pic of mine tonight if you like, I have all my wiring on my work bench.

Thanks Dino , so I do need to put this wire in , brand new harness , so strange that it wasn't included,
Thanks for the reply

Dino

My pleasure.  Very strange indeed.  I don't see why that wire is left out.  You may want to contact the vendor and ask for an explanation.
