He was a club member from Texas in the early days.    Orange Superbird with kind of a funky black stripe down the side, I think.    

You were there, but probably were munching on graham crackers or something.

so who is William J Mears?

I believe this car was his.   This is from Milwaukee in 1978.

I know we were there in 84. I do not think Doug was still munchin on graham crackers by then, probably had moved on to happy meal hamburgers by that time. I think we took the R4 Hemi 500 to that show in 84. I know I have pictures from that show as well as about 6 hours of VHS tape.
