I noticed my kickdown (or pressure switch )linkage spring was not hooked up right so i corrected it, it now holds the kickdown linkage snug against the centre carb throttle linkage but without my throttle spring it can actually open my throttle ?  Seem right ? The is good and shifting correctly, but im concerned if I ever breack a throttle spring my carb would be opened by the kickdown spring, where can I buy both the inner and outer throttle springs for a six pack setup I want to be sure the sprongs are correct and I have a second spring just in case.

Ron - Sounds like the kick-down spring is the wrong length or tension. Gotta pic?

The TP linkage spring and the throttle return spring serve two different functions, the throttle return spring pulls the carb closed while the TP spring pulls the linkage up against the carb stud...the TP spring only expands when there is a stoppage in the linkage, it prevents a linkage malfunction from sticking the carb open.

The correct springs are available from A&M Hightech.
