Does anybody out there use Kevlar Ceramic mixed brake shoes?  I've heard claims that they can shorten stopping time up to 25% better than most OEM brake shoes.   I really would prefer to do a Disc brake conversion but don't really have the cash/time right now.  If anybody knows anything or has any suggestions let me know.  THanks!

You can run them, I'm not sure how close they are to a race compound, but you can always call the manufacturer and get an idea.  If they are a race product, you can expect better performance (especially in the fade area for drums).  However, if you tend to spend most of your time on the street, it will eat your drums and rotors much faster than you would think.

I got the shoes and drums from these guys.  http://www.praisedynobrake.com/index.htm  The shoes are NOT cheap though but I guess you get what you pay for.I will install them in the spring.
