That is the oddest "General Lee" I've ever seen (not counting ones that aren't even 2nd generation Chargers):

The numbers on the door are way too small, too close together, and not shaped right; the flag on the roof is way too narrow; the "General Lee" text on the roof is tiny; it has the bumble bee stripes; wheels that look nothing like Vectors; and of course it is purely a '68.

I wonder what the story is behind that car. The paint, body, interior, etc. looks great, and it seems that someone who would pay that much attention to detail, and spend all the money/time to get the car looking like new, wouldn't be so haphazard about the General Lee graphics. I'm wondering if someone didn't buy that car as an already restored orange R/T (or R/T clone) complete with bumble bee stripes and Cragars (or whatever those wheels are), and then decided to put General Lee graphics on it (that would explain its split personality). And it may have been done before The Dukes of Hazzard was on DVD and before there were companies like Phoenix Graphix offering premade graphics, so whoever made the graphics just had to wing it.

awsome pics! and very interesting cars. saw a fire extinguisher parking brake on a black 2nd gen, a hippie 3rd gen...how does that even happen? and the sunburst orange chally which is makin me rethink my paint scheme

Thanks, thinking out side the box on the chain running board. Need to make some for the one ton, have to see what I have around the shop.
