After 20 years of owning my RT/SE SUNROOF car, I found the original numbers engine block for my car!!!!   If you know the car has been in the area for a long time just keep talking to others who are into MOPARS.  Funny thing is he was a friend of a friend and a guy I occasionally spoke to for probably 12 years but never mentioned specifics of my car to him.  About a month ago the subject came up and showed some pics and details about my car, a couple more weeks and conversations and I get a call saying "Holy crap I have your engine block!"  Thankfully, he is a REALLY good guy and is willing to sell the bare block to me but I decided to ask him to do a full rebuild on it for me as well as he is a MOPAR FREAK and does restoration work in the area.  I know I will get a HIGH QUALITY build and I could swing some more money to him than just buying the block from him.

Cool deal, that must've made your day.  Personally, whoever has the original 383 for my car can keep it...
