I'm looking to find out if the script "Charger" badge on the trunk lid is the same size as the one on the doors, if it is indeed smaller anyone know the dimension or the original part number, thanks in advance.

Dino

Part number for Charger badge:  3680687

Part number for Dodge badge:  3613272

I don't know about the door and hood badges.  Maybe you can find it here:

Yes, much smaller.
And the numbers Dino posted are correct.
Below is the correct placement.

Dino, that part number is coming up as the door badges, in my research, seems that the part number currently represents door badges & not the trunk lid badge. At any rate, I'm having a heck of a time finding that script "charger" badge, I have an OEM "Dodge" badge, so my battle is half won, any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Strange...

When I look up the number on ebay it says it's a dash emblem and on other sites it's a fender emblem.  On an old ebay ad it says it's 4 inches long, how long is the trunk badge supposed to be?

It's correct and yes, around 4 inches

highstyle2

My gut tells me the repops are using the old part number, & they are all the same size. Everything out there advertised uses that number & the 4 inch badge is the size on the door. My OEM "dodge" plate is only 3 inches. The length is probably the same, but the size of the script is in smaller fonts for sure, not as tall either. I'm thinking the deck lid badge is not reproduced, again any leads or tips would be appreciated.

You can tell him he is wrong.  The "Dodge" badge is in fact about 3 inches and "Charger" script is about 4.
They are reproducing the Dodge but it is plastic, not like the original pot metal.
The Charger small script no one makes as far as I know. I may have one of each if you need them. But to be honest if they didn't make it on my car they are not perfect.
Let me look and I will post.

rudyjrusa

i can't seem to find the DODGE nameplate for the hood - does anybody reproduce thoses??

highstyle2

Rudy,  it's not a nameplate, they are individual letters, and yes they are available....someone on here may have  a link to one of the vendors that sells them.........

ODZKing

Rudy, if you are referring to 73-74 hoods the nameplate is 3443554. One piece, stick on. Looks like below and really is the same as the ones on the grille 71-2 but these have pins. They all susperseed to the one with out pins.
One on EBay now

Jacks had them at one time, not sure if they still do.

They're out there.

I saved this from some post a while back.  Shows the different sizes of "Charger" script.

as mentioned is one piece, just that usually gets broken.

there are two kind of the Dodge hood ( and grill in some cases ) badge... one is thin chrome with black outline used on lates 70s, and the other is with thick chromed section with a black groove on letters used on earliers 70s. BOTH are exactly the same piece back to back, just the front face changes on how are outlined the letters, and the final profile.

I think the pics shows what I mean, being the second dodge emblem the earliers version

I'm trying to find the lates 70s one, which looks to be very similar to the first pic posted, just that the pic doesn't help

ODzing,
I have a '73 flat hood on my SE & the DODGE letters were MIA, although I recently bought a '73 bulge hood & the letters are individual on it........go figure  :shruggy:

ODZKing

Histyle,
I would love to see a picture to indentify what the letters were.  But I am faily certain, they are not correct for the hood.
BTW, I am still looking for the trunk badge for you.  Sit tight.
