I am doing research for an article I am writing for a body shop Publication.  can anyone help me.  I used this stuff in the 1970,s . It was a black fine compound swirl remover I believe made from black silica.  called something like BRITE LITE. or had the word BRITE somewhere in it . came in tall clear plastic bottle  .    You used it after heavy compound . their claim to fame is it left no swirl marks. supposedly first swirl remover.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks   Tom ferry

Tom, go to any good quality auto parts store that sale paint supplies, they will be able to help. I think the first swirl mark remover I used was called Black Beauty, but that was 3 decades ago.  :shruggy:

Have you ever tried a foam buffing pad? I use wool for cutting and foam to remove swirl marks. Foam leaves minimal marks when cutting but clogs up pads are hard to clean. Cannot use a screw driver like with wool to clean.
