One is question is the gray one hanging between the intake runners. It has a spade connector and I think it is for a factory tach?  :shruggy: I sure do not remember unhooking it and does not look like it's been used for years, but then again the 68 Road Runner has sat for 8 years outside!  :brickwall:

Wiring harness is from Year One and is about 20 years old. God where does time go!  :brickwall: You know you had your car too long when the New Parts are 20 years old!  :shruggy:

on my 68 charger the gray wire goes to the oil sender, but I don't have a tach so not sure if the RR is different.

I will have to check, I sort of think it might be as well. But, when the harness is in places, the wire would be in the middle of the passenger side valve cover?

At this point I am 85% sure it is for the idiot light sending unit wire. I use to run both a electrical gauge and the idiot light. I just looked and the idiot light sending unit has been replaced with a pipe plug. :shruggy: It sill has the gauge unit hooked up.

Thanks for jogging my memory.
