Selling magazines and profiting on death. Immoral.  :flame:

The 12 Scariest Words in the English Language:

We Want to Help You.

2013 Dodge Challenger RT, Hemi, Plum Crazy
2014 Ram 4x4 Hemi, Deep Cherry Pearl
1968 Dodge Charger, 318, not much else
1958 Dodge Pick Up, 383, loud

As a Fellow Cop, I can guarantee he has women who want to marry him. :brickwall:
He is probably a hero in the middle east. :brickwall:

A383Wing

someone should have shot him...would have saved us a lot of money

bull

I haven't heard of anyone in the US on any political plane that's happy with this maggot's face on the cover of Rolling Stone.

Mike DC

Yeah, that's blatant hero-worship.  The words say he's a bad guy but all the imagery is set up to glorify him.

But this is nothing new.  Rolling Stone has never had any political or ethical credibility IMHO.  Trash sells.

Ghoste

I quit getting Rolling Stone regularly a long time ago because they decided to somehow make every article promote their blatant political agenda.  Once in awhile if there was an article on an artist I really respected I would still pick it up but after this act of sensationalist stupidity I just don't think I'll ever give them another dime of my money.  Deplorable.

I doubt that in this case. Seems they've crossed every line this time.

The gov. hasn't made thier money off of him yet. There are probably a few others in line to make a quick buck off of him as well.  Gotta score brownie points.

The National Enquirer gets sued all the time.  It only matters if the price of the lawsuits outweighs the profits from what they do.

One occasional step over the line won't hurt Rolling Stone any in the big picture.

Back N Black

Rolling Stone had Charles Manson on the cover when he was convicted. They will do anything to make a buck.

GOTWING

do you think magazines will be a thing of the past? what is the purpose of a newspaper anyway?

F8-4life

Ted bundy, hell even john gacy had a legions of female fans if Im not mistaken...As for the magazine cover, all I will say is people are sick and if you throw "business" into  the mix the sickness can be seen easier then ever.

Mike DC

The problem is not who they put on the cover, it's how they did it.

They shouldn't be idolizing the kid.  There isn't any existing trend of people doing it to write about.  RS is creating/pushing the idea on its own for a buck.

It's the Liberal Media at it's best.  :flame:

It's simply the media. There is nothing liberal about it anymore since there are only a few major corporations that own all of it. That's called a monopoly & it used to be "illegal" until regulations were eased or removed entirely by our corrupt political system.

As for Rolling Stone, it's just another publication trying to sell copies. I don't read it & may have only bought it twice in my lifetime. I think it was in poor taste & a mistake that they put the photo of a POS on the cover, but why is that any different than 99% of the other crap that makes front page?

Remaining neutral & balanced is not where the money lies.  Taking sides makes money.  Either side will work.

Same thing with how the media portrays individuals.  Either building someone up OR tearing them down is easier & more profitable than trying to portray them honestly & fairly.

Put it like this, some people are just out to make a buck, even at others expense.  Here's a nice example.  http://news.yahoo.com/ny-woman-accused-posing-marathon-202353374.html

Mytur Binsdirti

Instead of portraying him as Dzhokhar McDreamy, something like this would have been more appropriate.....
