I have a 1969 Dodge Charger with a stock 383 with an Edelbrock 1406 carburetor......After I run my engine for a few minutes or if I drive 10  miles or so it is hard to start....someone told be that my floats my be to high in the carburetor......I bought the carburetor new and never opened it to adjust the floats.....I have a new stock fuel pump and I also have an filter on the line before the carburetor..... Any thoughts or could it be something else?

After the engine warms up, shut it off and look down the carb throat with a flashlight; if there is fuel dripping from the boosters the float level is too high or there is too much fuel pressure. If the fuel appears after it sits a while it is percolating.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

When I pat the gas it was to act like it is not getting fuel and will start to cut off........I looking in the carb after it warmed up and I do see some fuel in it

How close is the fuel line to the exhaust manifolds/headers? Had the same problem. Was boiling the fuel in the line. Another symptom of boiling the fuel would be the car stumbling upon acceleration after sitting at a stop light.
