My 69 Hemi now has around a hundred miles on it. It starts easily and idles down to 800-900 by the factory tac.
It runs around 170 degrees by the dash temp gauge. All seems fine but I put a vac. gauge on the port that feeds the vac. advance in the dist. (A small tube on the fitting that the brake booster connects to).
The reading shows 6-7 inches vac. at idle.  Is this too low?

Try checking the vacuum at the base of the carb  :scope: That number does seem low  :scratchchin:

Vac advance should allways be used on a ported vacuum source ; no vaccum at idle but vacuum as engine speed increases.  :yesnod:
