Where does the cigarette lighter power supply come from?

Hi all.

I thought the cigarette lighter power supply on my 73 should come from the accessory power but it seems to have power all the time regardless of the ignition switch position. Is this right?

Yes, cigarette lighter is continuous 12 volts.

i believe it does, but it shares it with the map light and glovebox lights and some other stuff i think. need to check my book out, but i believe ther is other stuff. 20A fuse, don't quote me, i can check later today.

yeah it runs to the fuse box  think it is the second fuse from the left from memory , lookin at the fuse box  (69)
