When you remove a vin and replace it on another car it is illegal, with that said we all have done things at one time or another were wrong and or illegal. If you are doing it for strictly profit its wrong, if you are doing it to save a rare car from the crusher then in my opinion its ok. I would rather own a retaged car made by Mother Mopar than an original full of Chinese tin booger welded together my some hack.

I still would like to see pictures of the car in its current condition. I think if you save what you can (as long as its not just the vin tags) and order 10k in metal to build off what's left that's a restoration. The car will never be original again but at least it's still around and not just a memory. Order the metal and restore it. And make sure to document the restoration very well. I plan on Doing the same thing with my Daytona charger and it won't be rebodied.  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
