yep common around here for hunting cabins, cottages, RV's  etc... Also you  the bottom 4" or so with antifreeze so they drown and do not stink and/or freeze in the winter time.

that's actually pretty good....wish there was something I can do about the crows around here

They're in town and I'm not allowed to use a fire arm.  They're also 2 blocks from the police department.  Besides, there's only 2 adult pigeons.  I've heard you want the juvenile ones for eating anyway.

Might not be a bad idea...also thinking "electrocution" can be attached as well

LMAO! I got a mental picture of the dude in "Home Alone" in the basement trying to wash his hands in that sink hooked up to the Batt. Charger!

actually that was an effective way to catch mice. only with out the coke bottle. you took a 5 gallon bucket with a few ramps going up with a few inches of antifreeze inside. They go to the edge, attracted by the sweet smell and fall in... I say used to work because back in 2010 or 11' I can not remember, when they outlawed the ingredient in antifreeze that gives it the sweet taste/aroma so your pets wont want to drink it up anymore. another good magpie/crow trap is a fairly sized wood box or crate or something with net around it. you make a lid made out of slates or the like and place them 8 to ten inches apart. imagine a baby crib side (that's what I used but broke out every other rung). you put bait in the box, something stinky, rotten eggs or some old meat works great. when the birds land on top and jump in to feast they can not fly out cuz of the wing span hits the pegs. the more they squawk and scream, more an more birds will come and jump in. a little loud for you but at the end of the day you can dispatch them as you see pleased. or open the lid. if you so wish to.
Restoring a charger is like a saying I heard along time ago "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it".... Jesus I wish I could remember who said that...

Bryan, Crows are easy to get rid of. Kill one and hang it from a tree or someplace where the others can see it. They will leave.   :yesnod:  We've done it many times over the years around the farm.

A383Wing

might have to try that....I remember years ago, there was a dead one in our ditch out front...drew about 20 in and all they did was make noise all over...just screaming all the time....had to bury it to get them to leave

They always do the screaming thing but I always thought of it as a warning to others. They never stayed around long afterwards though.
