Going through all electrials and got tail lights and it was always one area that bugged me,will post photo's once finished and see what you think of these mods,
First thing I did was to chrome plate inside of the cast tail light housings to help reflect light, this alone was a big improvement.
Was this a cost cutting thing done by the factory.
It helped a lot, second was the replacement LED globes. Tried this because I didn't want go the full led board type.
Any one else done any changes to there lights to improve things, and what worked

I did the same, not going to be nearly as bright as actual chrome, but with my budget, it was a lot more feasible.

FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

The chrome paint I used on my cluster would work nice for that application.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I used LED bulbs, but have to make sure you use the correct ones that look like a 'Christmas tree' so that there is light to reflect on the (poorly performing) reflector bowls, or you just get a red spot out the back of the car....

I agree , mine look like yes a Xmas tree, 36 LEDs in all , reflection around the lense much better, have to admit the chrome plating improved the standard globes reflection
